FAQ's

Frequently asked questions

Can I complete my qualification in less than 12 months?
Yes you can. All of our qualifications are self paced and supported by a dedicated Trainer assigned to you who works at your pace.
Are your qualifications Nationally Recognised Qualifications?
Yes they are. The Australian Adult Learning Institute is a Nationally Registered Training Organisation Provider No: 41044 and are registered on the National Government Training and Qualification Website: www.training.gov.au
We always recommend that you check that your Training Provider is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and not a third party broker acting on behalf of an RTO. Training Providers who are not a RTO cannot issue a Nationally Recognised Qualification.
Are you a Registered Training Organisation?
Yes we are. We are registered by the Australian Government and listed on the training.gov.au website. Our Registered Training Organisation number is 41044. We strongly recommend that you look for the Nationally Recognised Training logo and Registered Training Organisation Number before you commence any qualification within Australia. Only Registered Training Organisations are authorised to display this logo and issue a certificate or statement of attainment for the qualification or studies you have completed.
We are a customer centric organisation with all staff that follow and live this philosophy. We have over 30 years of industry experience in Adult Education with a goal to ensure that our student's needs are met. Please review our testimonials for recent feedback from our satisfied customers.
How do I apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?
All you need to do is select "Yes" for RPL within the enrolment form.
Once your enrolment has been finalised, at this time you will be sent an RPL Kit that will contain comprehensive information about the RPL process, together with examples of evidence you could provide to support your existing skills, knowledge and experience.
For further information click here.
What do I receive once enrolled?
During the enrolment process and prior to the commencement of your course you are provided with comprehensive information regarding the qualification you are about to commence. This information will include but not limited to, online tutorials/guides providing information about how to navigate through your online learning whilst studying, which components of your online learning are required to be completed as assessment tasks, and how to complete your assessment effectively.
Once your enrolment has been finalised you are assigned a dedicated Trainer as you complete your course. You will then be provided with your online access so that you can commence your studies.
Why are your qualifications less expensive than other training providers?
At the Australian Adult Learning Institute we believe in "Making Education Affordable".
We offer online promotions throughout the year to ensure that our students are not paying over inflated prices that some training providers charge. The price advertised is for the full qualification to be completed within the timeframe advertised, with no hidden charges.
Are there any hidden charges?
Definitely not, all prices advertised on our website are the full price for each qualification. We believe in being 100% transparent in all advertising and pricing.
What resources do I need to complete my online studies?
  • Any of the following technologies: Smart Phone, Tablet, Ipad, Desktop Computer, Laptop or MAC Computer
  • Internet connection
  • Email address
  • Adobe Reader & Adobe Flash Player
  • Basic Microsoft suite or equivalent
  • Printer
What is the duration of my course and what is the amount of training support?
All qualifications commenced with the Australian Adult Learning Institute have the duration of twelve months (Fourteen months for Leadership and Management Courses and Training and Assessment Courses) to complete from the date of enrolment. All training and assessments are conducted self paced. We recommend completing 1 unit of competency per month, or at the very least 1 unit of competency every 5 weeks. You are provided with assessment support from your dedicated Trainer assigned to you for the duration of your studies.
Upon enrolment you will be provided with an Assessment Plan recommending the dates to complete your assessments over the duration of your course, and all information relating to your qualification.
The recommended hours consists of an average maximum of 60 hours per unit of competency for Certificate IV Qualifications, and a maximum of 90 hours per unit of competency for the Diploma Qualification. These hours are based on participants who have NO, or very little industry experience or knowledge of the practices required for the qualification. These hours will vary per unit you complete, covering all reading required, completion of assessment activities, and project work to be completed. The hours recommended will depend upon your current skills, knowledge, and experience, and can potentially be reduced based on this. The recommended hours do not take into consideration any potential recognition of prior learning (RPL) that may be potentially awarded based on your current skills, knowledge, and experience. If you believe that you would be a suitable candidate for potential RPL, please contact our office and we will be able to assist you further.
